Well ladies and gentleman summer is just around the corner so it’s time to start “cutting up”. Here are five tips to start dropping off a little bit of that fat:
Tip 1 – Eliminate junk food
I think this is self explanatory, as MOST junk food doesn’t have any nutritional value and is just converted to fat, this should be on the top of the list. However having a cheat meal once a week is okay and can help speed your metabolism up but make sure that this meal is not over the top.
Tip 2 – Reduce alcohol intake down
Alcohol is another massive issue with weight loss. Now it’s not the calories but the alcohol itself which will cause the body to store fat and reduce muscle mass as it will dehydrate the muscles and send the body into shock and cause the body to store fat.
So you don’t have to give it up but try to reduce the amount down and have mostly alcohol free days during the week and don’t binge on the weekend. Also if you are drinking, drink water between each drink.
Tip 3 – Increase cardio
I know coming from me this is different but yep get onto the treadmill! However make sure that you do this only after a weight session as this is when you are in the biggest fat burning mode of the day. Next only train for 15 – 20 mins as any longer will cause the body to start wasting muscle tissue away and only do HIT (high intensity training) by this I mean 1 min as fast as you can and then 1 min of walking or rest.
Tip 4 – Start reducing calories and carbs
Please don’t misunderstand this part I still believe that you need to eat! However you need to decrease the amount of calories you are consuming slightly every week and try to keep your carbs low (not ultra low) and protein up to keep muscle mass but start using fat for energy.
Tip 5 – Start using a fat burning supplement
Like thermo fuel by gentec, you can start using a fat burning product to help stimulate you during a workout and help aid you in burning more fat from a workout. These supplements help as they most are a caffeine base product which helps with fat burning but also have amino acids (carnitine) which will help aid fat burning.
