Skipping meals

 Although there are times when life is so busy you dont have time to stop, missing meals will impede you metabolism. To benefit from the thermic effect of food and to keep your metabolism working, your body must be constantly consuming, digesting and storing food, as well as eliminating waste. Skipping meals turns off the this process and set your body in a starvation mode (survival mode) thereby causing you to retain fat. So to avoid this have healthy snacks (nuts, protein bars etc) to eat between meals and pre plan all meals the day before so to avoid this from happening.
